(Grants Pass, OR) – The Grants Pass & Josephine County Chamber of Commerce hosted its prestigious Annual Awards Banquet on February 14, 2025, bringing together nearly 400 esteemed guests, including local business owners, elected officials, and community partners. The event was a celebration of achievement, inspiration, and recognition, honoring individuals and businesses that have made significant contributions to the region’s economic development and community well-being.
The evening was hosted by KRRM morning show duo Jason & Ashley, who guided attendees through a dynamic program that featured a warm welcome from Chamber President & CEO Terry Hopkins. The event also included a recap of the Chamber’s accomplishments in 2024 and an address by Alan Meyer, the 2025 Chamber Board Chair, emphasizing the importance of business advocacy and economic growth.

Lifetime Achievement Award – Mary Lou Thomason
The esteemed Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Mary Lou Thomason of Galice Resort, a dedicated leader and board member of the Boys & Girls Club of the Rogue Valley. Her lifelong contributions to local businesses and community initiatives have left a lasting impact on the region. Thomason was honored for her unwavering dedication, passion, and enduring influence on the economic and social landscape of Josephine County.
Community Spirit Award – Dave Warren, Cascade Self Storage
Dave Warren and Cascade Self Storage were recognized for their extensive philanthropic efforts and unwavering commitment to community service. Warren’s generosity has been evident through his sponsorship and participation in local events such as Concerts in the Park and the Access Senior Fair, as well as his continued support for organizations like Toys for Tots, the Maslow Project, and the Salvation Army. Small Business Award – Tammie Schmidt, Rogue Solutions Accounting
Tammie Schmidt, founder of Rogue Solutions Accounting, was recognized as an outstanding entrepreneur whose business exemplifies integrity, exceptional customer service, and community involvement. With extensive experience in the corporate and nonprofit sectors, Schmidt has also dedicated her time to organizations such as Friends of Josephine Children’s Advocacy Center and the Greater Grants Pass Rotary Club, where she serves on multiple boards and is the next president-elect.
Large Business Award – Flores Family Restaurants
Manuel and Aracely Flores, owners of Flores Family Restaurants, were honored for their outstanding contributions to the local business community. Since opening their first Mexican restaurant in Grants Pass in 1992, the family has expanded their operations to include multiple restaurant locations and a new venture, Code 4 Tap House, set to open in the spring of 2025. Architecture Award – The Growler Guys Taphouse
