The City of Grants Pass is now accepting applications to fill a vacant position on the Tourism Advisory Committee, with the appointed term set to expire on March 31, 2028. The committee plays a key role in shaping how Grants Pass promotes itself to both residents and visitors through marketing, tourism planning, and destination management.
The committee’s mission is to strengthen the city’s image and increase community engagement by advising on strategies that attract visitors and support local events, businesses, and attractions. Members work closely with the City’s Tourism Contractor, evaluating progress, reviewing reports, and making recommendations to the City Council on tourism-related initiatives.
Applicants are encouraged from across a variety of fields connected to local tourism and community development. This includes individuals representing river guiding services, real estate, restaurants, marketing, local attractions, and media organizations, as well as citizens with a strong interest in promoting Grants Pass as a welcoming and dynamic destination.
Those interested in applying can pick up an application form at the City Administration Office located at 101 N.W. A Street or submit an application online through the City’s website. All applications must be received by 5 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2026. The Tourism Advisory Committee will review submissions on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, with final appointments scheduled to be made by the City Council on Wednesday, January 21, 2026.
