GRANTS PASS, OR — The Three Rivers Youth Baseball 11U All-Stars have emerged as the Southern Oregon State Champions, securing their place as one of the region’s top youth baseball teams. Their next challenge awaits just outside of Boise, Idaho, where the team will represent Southern Oregon in the 2025 Cal Ripken Pacific Northwest Regional Tournament—a major step on the road to national recognition.
While the players and coaches are eager to compete, time is working against them. With only a week to prepare and travel, the team is racing to raise the funds necessary to cover transportation, lodging, and other expenses related to their tournament run. To help close the financial gap, the team has launched a GoFundMe campaign with a goal of raising $4,000.
“This isn’t just about baseball. It’s about opportunity,” the team shared on their GoFundMe page. “It’s about teaching our kids to chase their goals, work as a team, and show up with heart. It’s about creating moments they’ll never forget—stepping onto a bigger field, facing new challenges, and making memories that will last a lifetime.”
The boys of the 11U All-Star team have earned their spot at regionals through grit, determination, and teamwork. Competing against top-tier youth baseball programs across Southern Oregon, they demonstrated both skill and sportsmanship on the field, ultimately earning the state title and the opportunity to advance to the next level of competition.
Now, the players—ranging in age from 10 to 11—face a new kind of challenge: getting to Idaho on short notice. The regional tournament will bring together the best teams from several western states, offering the Three Rivers athletes a unique opportunity to test their talents on a much larger stage.
The costs of such a trip, however, can quickly add up. Travel, hotel stays, meals, and tournament fees are often not covered by league funding, meaning families and the team must work together to raise the necessary funds. The community is being asked to support the boys not only as athletes but as ambassadors for Grants Pass and the entire Southern Oregon region.
Local businesses, organizations, and residents are encouraged to contribute and help the team continue its winning journey. Supporters can visit the GoFundMe campaign page, where donations of any size will help cover the cost of this important experience. The fundraising effort also highlights the broader impact of youth sports, reinforcing values like teamwork, perseverance, and community pride.
For many of the players, this will be their first time traveling out of state for a competitive sporting event—a milestone that not only tests their baseball abilities but helps build life skills in independence, responsibility, and confidence.
The regional tournament is scheduled to begin next week, leaving the team with only a few days to secure funding and finalize logistics. Coaches, parents, and volunteers are working around the clock to coordinate the trip while encouraging the young athletes to stay focused on the excitement ahead.
As the countdown to Idaho begins, the Three Rivers Youth Baseball 11U All-Stars are hoping for one more win—this time, off the field, with the help of a supportive community backing their dream.
