The City of Grants Pass has launched a revamped website, aiming to create a more visually appealing and user-friendly online experience for residents and visitors. With a fresh new design, the updated site retains all the functionalities of the previous version but enhances accessibility and navigation.
A major addition is the homepage slideshow, which now showcases stunning images of Grants Pass while providing a platform to spotlight important announcements and events. This dynamic feature is intended to engage users and keep them informed of key updates in the city.
The redesign also includes graphic links tailored to frequently used site features. These links are based on years of analytics, ensuring that users can quickly access the resources they need most often.
Another improvement is the expanded Newsflash icons, which now allow for more detailed headlines, enabling users to glean important information at a glance. Additionally, the calendar function has been upgraded with tabs for different types of meetings and events, along with a scrolling feature for easier navigation through upcoming months.
The drop-down menus have also been refined, incorporating icons and color-coded options to enhance visibility and ease of selection. This change is part of an effort to make the site’s navigation smoother and more intuitive.
City officials collaborated with CivicPlus, a municipal website design company, and drew inspiration from hundreds of city websites across the country. By studying best practices and identifying common annoyances, they worked to incorporate the most effective elements into the new design.
The City of Grants Pass invites residents and visitors to explore the updated website and hopes the new design will offer an enjoyable, efficient online experience for everyone.
