This Sunday, January 12, the first park cleanup of 2025 will take place at Morrison Park, located off Rogue River Highway. Organized by Park Watch GP, the event will begin at 2 p.m., with participants asked not to arrive earlier than 1:45 p.m.
A brief meeting will precede the cleanup to welcome volunteers and provide instructions. For those attending for the first time, this is a great opportunity to meet the team and get involved in keeping our local parks beautiful and safe. New volunteers will also receive a special Park Watch pin as a token of appreciation.
Park Watch GP will supply all necessary cleanup materials, including grabbers, gloves, and trash bags, ensuring everyone can participate safely. Volunteers are encouraged to come prepared to work together and make a positive impact on the community.
“Whether you’re a longtime supporter or new to the effort, this is a chance to connect with neighbors and make a difference,” organizers shared. “We’re grateful for everyone’s help in preserving our parks for all to enjoy.”
Morrison Park has long been a cherished spot for outdoor activities, but regular maintenance by volunteers like you ensures it remains clean and welcoming. If you’ve been considering joining a park cleanup event, this Sunday’s gathering offers a relaxed and friendly introduction to the group and its mission.
Let’s start 2025 with action and community spirit. See you at Morrison Park this Sunday at 2 p.m.!
