Grants Pass High School’s Theatre Department proudly presents its Spring Musical, The Unsinkable Molly Brown, running for two weekends from March 7th to March 16th at the Grants Pass High School Performing Arts Center.
This classic musical tells the inspiring true story of Margaret “Molly” Brown, a turn-of-the-century advocate for the underprivileged, philanthropist, entrepreneur, champion of women’s rights, labor rights activist, and, most famously, a survivor of the Titanic disaster. Molly’s journey begins with her ambitious dream of making it big in Denver, but fate takes her on an extraordinary path filled with love, resilience, and relentless determination. Through her advocacy and unwavering spirit, Molly proves time and again that she is, indeed, unsinkable.
The musical, with music and lyrics by Meredith Willson (The Music Man) and an updated book by Tony-nominated writer Dick Scanlan (Thoroughly Modern Millie), breathes new life into this Broadway classic. The revised version of The Unsinkable Molly Brown, which debuted in 2020, has been hailed for its fresh storytelling and dynamic characters.
