The Grants Pass School District No. 7 Board of Education is seeking dedicated community members to apply for a vacant position on the District’s Budget Committee. This important role offers an opportunity to help shape the district’s financial priorities and ensure resources are allocated effectively for student success.
The position carries a three-year term, concluding on June 30, 2028. The Budget Committee is composed of the seven elected Board of Education members and an equal number of qualified district residents. The selected candidate will collaborate with the committee to review and approve the district’s annual budget, ensuring fiscal transparency and accountability.
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for appointment, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Reside within the Grants Pass School District boundaries.
- Be a qualified elector eligible to vote in Josephine County.
- Not hold a position as an officer or employee of the school district.
The Board will appoint the new member from the pool of applicants during its regular meeting on January 14, 2025.
