Families in Josephine County looking for a fun, enriching, and local summer option for their children now have an exciting opportunity at Club Northwest. The well-known community fitness and recreation center will once again be hosting its annual Summer Camp from June 9 through August 22, 2025, offering 11 weeks of themed adventures and supervised play for children ages 5 to 13.
This year’s Summer Camp is designed to keep kids active, engaged, and smiling all summer long. With a dynamic weekly schedule, campers will enjoy everything from open gym and swimming to crafts, games, and outdoor play. Special activities, snacks, and lunch are also included, making it a convenient and comprehensive option for working parents and families staying close to home during the break.
Each week of the camp is built around a unique theme, adding a fresh layer of excitement and variety. The summer kicks off with “Dive Into Summer” from June 9 to 13, followed by a prehistoric adventure during “Jurassic Journey” the week of June 16. Subsequent themes include insect exploration during “Buggin’ Out” (June 23–27), patriotic fun with “Flip Flops, Fireworks & Freedom” (June 30–July 4, morning only that week), and the festive “Jingle in July” (July 7–11).
Water play will take center stage during “Water Wonders” (July 14–18), and physical challenges will energize kids during “Ninja Warrior” week (July 21–25). As summer peaks, kids will enjoy a tropical escape with “Hawaiian Luau” (July 28–August 1), explore nature during “Animal Kingdom” (August 4–8), blast off during “Lost in Space” (August 11–15), and wrap up the season with a splash during the final week’s theme, “Splashing Out of Summer” (August 18–22).
The camp takes place at the KIDS at Club Northwest Activity Center, one of the largest fully staffed indoor play centers in the country. The space boasts 60,000 cubic feet of climbing, jumping, and exploration, ensuring that every child finds an outlet for their energy and creativity. In addition to the daily themed activities, campers will also enjoy free play sessions in this dynamic environment.
For families with younger children, Club Northwest also offers Lil’ Bitties care for ages 6 to 18 months. Reservations are required for these sessions, which are offered in two-hour blocks. Hours for Lil’ Bitties are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and again from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and weekends from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The main Activity Center operates Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., making it convenient for drop-offs, pickups, or extended care needs.
