Gilligan is a nine-month-old bundle of energy whose enthusiasm for life is contagious. Weighing in at 51 pounds, this cheerful young dog is the embodiment of fun, constantly looking for his next adventure. He’s the type of companion who will turn an ordinary day into a reason to smile, whether he’s chasing a ball, splashing through puddles, or just greeting everyone he meets with a wagging tail and bright eyes.
Gilligan’s playful spirit makes him a favorite among shelter staff. He loves to engage and socialize with people and other dogs, though his exuberant personality can be a little overwhelming for the more reserved canines. A confident adult dog in the home could be the perfect match to help him learn the finer points of canine manners while keeping up with his playful energy.
This happy-go-lucky boy is not the kind to spend the afternoon lounging on the couch. Gilligan would thrive in an active household where he can join in on outdoor adventures — hiking, running, or simply playing in the yard. He’s friendly, affectionate, and eager to please, making him an ideal companion for someone who wants a loyal friend to share an active lifestyle with.
Gilligan comes ready to join his forever family. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and current on parasite preventatives. His adoption fee is $175, a small price for a lifetime of love and laughter.
Those interested in meeting Gilligan are encouraged to contact the Josephine County Animal Shelter at (541) 474-5458. Walk-ins are welcome, but calling ahead is recommended to confirm availability and location, as some animals may be offsite. To explore more adoptable pets, visit www.jocoshelter.com/adoptions.
