PATH of Josephine County will host its next general meeting on Tuesday January 27 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at the Grants Pass City Council Chambers. The gathering is designed to bring together service providers advocates volunteers and community members who share a commitment to addressing homelessness and strengthening local support systems.
The formal meeting will run from 3:00 to 4:30 pm followed by an open networking period from 4:30 to 5:00 pm. This structure allows attendees to participate in organized discussion while also creating space for relationship building collaboration and information sharing among partners working throughout Josephine County.
A central feature of the January meeting will be a presentation by Gail Bashans who serves as an outreach worker with Easterseals Oregon Veterans Employment Services. Bashans works directly with veterans who face employment barriers and housing instability and her role focuses on connecting individuals with meaningful work training and long term stability. Her participation reflects PATH’s ongoing effort to highlight programs that serve populations at increased risk of homelessness including veterans.
In addition to the featured presentation PATH leaders will provide updates on current activities initiatives and progress being made across the county. Community partner organizations will also have an opportunity to share information about their work and ongoing needs. These updates help keep the public informed while reinforcing coordination among agencies that provide housing, food employment and supportive services.
The meeting will also include a community giving component. Attendees are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items which will be collected on site and donated to the Josephine County Food Bank. This effort supports residents facing food insecurity and reinforces the connection between housing stability and basic needs.
PATH encourages community members to invite family friends and colleagues who may be interested in learning more about local efforts to reduce homelessness. The meeting is open to the public and is intended to be welcoming informative and action oriented.
By creating a space for shared learning and collaboration PATH continues its mission of fostering practical solutions and community engagement. The January meeting offers another opportunity for residents to stay informed connect with local leaders and explore ways to contribute to positive change across Josephine County.
