Community leaders, service providers, and residents concerned about homelessness in Josephine County will gather today, Tuesday, January 27, for the latest general meeting of PATH, a local collaborative focused on practical solutions and coordinated outreach. The meeting will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Grants Pass City Council Chambers and is open to the public.
The formal meeting agenda will run from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m., followed by an informal networking session from 4:30 to 5:00 p.m. Organizers say the extended time is designed to encourage relationship-building among agencies, nonprofits, and community members who are working on different aspects of housing instability, employment, and social services throughout the region.
A featured presentation will be delivered by Gail Bashans, an outreach worker with Easterseals Oregon Veterans Employment Services. Bashans is expected to discuss employment-focused support for veterans, an area that remains closely connected to housing stability and long-term self-sufficiency. Her presentation will highlight available resources, outreach strategies, and the importance of coordinated efforts between service providers.
In addition to the featured speaker, PATH representatives will provide updates on current activities and initiatives underway in Josephine County. Community partners will also have the opportunity to share brief reports on their work, offering attendees a broader picture of what is being done locally to address homelessness and related challenges.
As part of the meeting, attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations. A collection box will be available for contributions benefiting the Josephine County Food Bank, which continues to see steady demand from individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. Organizers emphasize that even small donations can make a meaningful difference.
PATH leaders are encouraging participants to invite colleagues, friends, and family members who may be interested in learning more about ongoing efforts and opportunities for involvement. The meeting is intended not only as an informational session, but also as a way to strengthen collaboration and spark new ideas within the community.
Those with questions about the meeting or PATH’s work are encouraged to reach out directly to the organization. Organizers say they are looking forward to strong attendance and productive conversation as the community continues working toward practical, locally driven solutions.
