The incident occurred shortly after 9:30 a.m. on June 5 when officers from the Klamath Falls Police Department were dispatched to the 900 block of East Main Street after a 911 caller requested a welfare check connected to a reported domestic disturbance. Upon arriving at the residence, officers encountered an armed adult male. During the encounter, an altercation occurred between responding officers and the individual. Officers subsequently used deadly force, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
