The Grants Pass and Josephine County business community is gaining a broader digital connection to Chamber services as the Grants Pass & Josephine County Chamber of Commerce completes a major conversion of its membership system, website functions and electronic communications.
The change brings several of the Chamber’s most frequently used business services into a single online platform, giving member companies direct control over information that reaches customers, residents and other businesses through the organization’s public directory and community event network.
Powered by ChamberMate, the new system replaces the Chamber’s previous membership management platform and establishes an updated Member Portal for participating businesses. Existing membership records have already been transferred, including company information, basic directory listings and outstanding invoices.
For businesses across Grants Pass and Josephine County, one of the most visible changes involves the Chamber’s online business directory. Members can now maintain their own company and contact information, allowing businesses to update the information presented through the Chamber website when addresses, telephone numbers, personnel or other company details change.
Local organizations and businesses will also have greater control over promoting activities through the Chamber’s community calendar. Members can submit events directly to the website, manage upcoming registrations and review their previous event participation from within their accounts.
The conversion also consolidates membership billing. Outstanding invoices are being transferred to the new platform, while future emailed invoices will contain secure links allowing businesses to make online payments without first signing into the Member Portal. Members who access their accounts can review invoice and payment status information and download invoice records.
The Chamber has begun distributing activation invitations to its membership. Each business uses the email address already on file as its username and creates a password to establish access to the new portal. Existing basic directory information is transferring automatically, but members can review and update those records after gaining access.
Changes are also underway in the Chamber’s electronic communications, including distribution of its weekly Chamber E-News, as the organization moves its membership and communication operations into the updated digital environment.
The transition places business listings, community event submissions, registrations, billing records and membership information within one system used by companies participating in the Chamber network. It also gives local businesses a more direct role in keeping the information available to the public through Chamber resources current.
Chamber staff are assisting businesses during the conversion, particularly members who have not received portal invitations or are experiencing difficulty accessing their accounts. Assistance is available through the Grants Pass & Josephine County Chamber of Commerce at 541-476-7717 or through Wendy Mintey at wmintey@grantspasschamber.org.
