Grants Pass business owners have additional time to provide the city with information about the challenges and priorities affecting local commerce after officials extended the deadline for the Small Business Task Force survey through Friday, Sept. 4.
The online survey will remain available until 5 p.m. Friday, giving eligible business owners several more days to participate in the citywide effort. The survey covers a range of subjects intended to identify concerns within the Grants Pass business community and provide the Small Business Task Force with data it can use to establish priorities.
The Grants Pass City Council created the Small Business Task Force to gather information about issues affecting business owners and provide the council with a clearer assessment of conditions facing local enterprises. The survey is one component of that work, allowing businesses operating within city limits to submit information directly for consideration.
City officials announced the extension Monday, Aug. 31, after receiving responses from some members of the business community while determining that additional time could broaden participation.
“We’ve heard from some business owners and want to give others an opportunity to respond, so we’ve extended the deadline for the Small Business Taskforce Survey to 5 pm on Friday, September 4, 2026,” the city stated in announcing the extension.
Participation is restricted to business owners conducting business within the City of Grants Pass. Respondents are required to enter their Grants Pass Business Tax Certificate identification number before the survey can be completed and submitted. The requirement provides a mechanism for limiting responses to businesses eligible to participate in the city’s outreach effort.
Business owners who cannot locate or do not know their Business Tax Certificate ID number may contact the city at 541-450-6039 for assistance.
Information collected through the survey will be used by the Small Business Task Force as it evaluates issues affecting the local commercial sector and determines which subjects warrant greater attention. The results are intended to help task force members organize business concerns according to the information received from participating owners and inform their work with the City Council.
The extended response period runs through the end of the business week, with submissions closing at 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4.
