The City of Grants Pass has opened the application process for four vacancies on its Budget Committee, inviting qualified residents to take part in one of the city’s most consequential public decision-making bodies. Members of the Budget Committee are responsible for receiving and examining the city’s Recommended Budget, which outlines anticipated revenues, expenditures, and proposed allocations for the upcoming fiscal year. Through public meetings and deliberations, the committee evaluates how resources are distributed across city departments and services, and it ultimately approves a proposed budget for consideration by the City Council. Eligibility for appointment is limited to individuals who are residents and registered electors within the City of Grants Pass. Following the application deadline, candidates will be interviewed by the City Council during a scheduled meeting on Monday, February 2, 2026. Final appointments to the Budget Committee are expected to be made at the City Council meeting on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. Individuals selected for service will join the committee in advance of the upcoming budget review cycle, contributing to the financial planning process that guides Grants Pass through the next fiscal year.
