Residents, service providers and community partners who participate in the Partnership for the Homeless (PATH) will see several temporary changes to the organization’s meeting schedule over the coming months as officials adjust for facility availability and community event planning.
PATH announced that its regularly scheduled meeting planned for Tuesday, July 28, has been rescheduled to Tuesday, Aug. 4, because of scheduling conflicts involving the Grants Pass City Council Chambers, where the meetings are typically held. Organizers said additional information regarding guest speakers and the meeting agenda will be released as the date approaches.
The schedule adjustment is one of several temporary changes intended to accommodate both venue availability and other community activities taking place later this summer. While the July meeting has been moved into early August, PATH’s regularly scheduled August meeting will continue as planned on Tuesday, Aug. 25.
Following the August gathering, the organization will temporarily pause its regular September meeting in order to devote additional time and resources to supporting the annual Recovery Fair. The event brings together organizations, nonprofits, healthcare providers, recovery advocates and community members to highlight local resources available for individuals and families affected by substance use disorders, mental health challenges and homelessness. The Recovery Fair also serves as an opportunity for service providers to collaborate while connecting residents with education, treatment options and community support programs.
PATH officials indicated that the organization expects to return to its normal meeting schedule beginning in October after the Recovery Fair activities have concluded.
The temporary calendar adjustments are intended to ensure continued participation while allowing volunteers, partner agencies and community organizations to focus on major outreach efforts during one of the busiest times of the year. Meetings hosted by PATH regularly provide updates on housing initiatives, behavioral health services, emergency assistance programs, recovery resources and collaborative efforts involving local governments, nonprofit organizations and regional service providers.
Community members who regularly attend PATH meetings are encouraged to update their calendars with the revised dates and share the schedule changes with colleagues, volunteers and others who participate in the organization’s monthly discussions. Organizers hope the advance notice will help maintain strong attendance while minimizing confusion surrounding the revised summer schedule.
