Editor,
Respectfully, we have now seen a sea change in relations and behavior on the City Council.
With the revelation of some seriously sideways behavior from now–GP City Council ex-President Ms. Victoria Marshall, it has become apparent that there needs to be a reckoning. Ms. Marshall has made some egregious errors in public administration and has opened the city to the very real possibility of legal action by the current city manager, Cubic.
Please recall the last time we got off track and fired City Manager David Faszler (sp?), who successfully sued the city for hundreds of thousands of dollars. We are in the same damnable position today. Ms. Marshall’s behavior has been, at times, almost unhinged. At a minimum, she has exhibited variable and questionable moral character, leaving our city deeply exposed. She should immediately apologize for her nefarious outbursts, her wanton disregard for public-office decorum, and resign before we face the threat of real legal action.
It is just that simple. She can no longer govern effectively, given her past performance. And if that means others have to go at the same time, then so be it. It has to happen.
