Grants Pass, OR – The Grants Pass & Josephine County Chamber of Commerce invites the community and local media to celebrate youth entrepreneurship at its sweetest during Lemonade Day, happening Saturday, August 9th from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. This highly anticipated event features more than 65 lemonade stands operated by nearly 250 local kids, all launching their own small businesses for a day filled with creativity, confidence, and community support.
Over the past several weeks, these young entrepreneurs have been hard at work developing business plans, creating marketing strategies, designing stand concepts, and testing recipes. With the support of local mentors, families, and volunteers, these kids are now ready to open for business and bring their visions to life.
Stand names this year are as unique and fun as the entrepreneurs themselves. Among them, community members can look forward to “Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy,” a cheerful take on classic lemonade with a twist, “Lemme Dance Lemonade,” where every cup comes with upbeat music and high-energy flair, and “Mystical Mermaids Magical Lemonade,” featuring whimsical underwater themes and magical flavors. Each stand reflects the imagination and hard work of its creators, many of whom have added custom decorations, themed costumes, and interactive elements to engage their customers.
The lemonade offerings will be just as creative. Visitors can expect to find an exciting variety of flavors—everything from tropical fruit blends and colorful layered drinks to lemonade made with local honey, sugar-free alternatives, and one-of-a-kind concoctions that showcase the inventiveness of each young business owner.
“This is one of our most inspiring and joyful events of the year,” said Terry Hopkins, President & CEO of the Grants Pass & Josephine County Chamber of Commerce. “It’s not just about selling lemonade. It’s about building confidence, learning real-world business skills, and showing our youth what’s possible when you believe in your ideas and put in the work. We invite the entire community to join us in supporting these young entrepreneurs and celebrating their success.”
The Chamber encourages local media to attend and capture the incredible stories unfolding at stands throughout Grants Pass and Josephine County. From themed booths and family teamwork to excited young entrepreneurs proudly serving their first customers, Lemonade Day offers countless moments of heart and inspiration. As you visit these stands, we encourage the community to vote for People’s Choice award by texting the KLDR leader line which will be posted at each stand.
A full list of stand locations and an interactive map is available at https://local.lemonadeday.org/grants-pass, so families can plan their routes and visit as many stands as possible.
This event is made possible thanks to the generosity of our community sponsors, whose support ensures Lemonade Day remains completely free for all participants. We extend a heartfelt thank you to all our sponsors, and especially to Northwest Community Credit Union, our Title Sponsor, for their outstanding commitment to empowering the next generation of business leaders.
