Southern Oregon’s vibrant creative community will take center stage on Friday, June 20, as Cafe-Girl Thriving Artists, LLC hosts a special evening of art, film, and performance designed to inspire and uplift. The event, titled Celebrate Art, Celebrate Life, will run from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Barnstormers Theatre, located at 112 NE Evelyn Avenue in Grants Pass. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased in advance at celebrateartcelebratelife.eventbrite.com.
The benefit event will spotlight a diverse array of Rogue Valley talent through live performances, original films, and artist showcases. Proceeds will go to support Barnstormers Theatre, a long-standing community theater that plays a vital role in Grants Pass’ cultural life.
Organized by Cafe-Girl Thriving Artists, LLC—a local production company dedicated to fostering artistic growth—the evening aims to celebrate not only the power of creativity but also the resilience of those who pursue their artistic dreams. The company regularly highlights the stories and work of area artists through its various productions and online platforms.
A central feature of the evening will be a special short video presentation exploring what it means to be a “thriving artist.” Through personal stories and insights, this film seeks to capture the joy, struggle, and fulfillment that come with a life dedicated to creative expression.
The event will also include a screening of I AM FINE, a short film produced by Cafe-Girl Thriving Artists and shot on location in the Rogue Valley. The film touches on themes of vulnerability, healing, and personal growth, resonating with the broader message of the evening. It reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to creating content that inspires and connects with local audiences.
Additionally, audiences will be treated to a lineup of live performances by some of the Rogue Valley’s most talented individuals. Featured performers include Madeline DeCourcey, Marcus Hardesty, Be Boulay, William Coyne, Ray Nomoto Robison, Asela Lee Kemper, West Christy, Alex Szabo, Trevor Pekas, Denise Baker, and Michael Meyer. Together, this eclectic group represents a wide spectrum of creative disciplines, from theater and film to visual arts and music.
The evening is both a fundraiser and a celebration, providing an opportunity for the community to come together in support of local arts. For Barnstormers Theatre, the event represents another example of the strong partnerships that sustain its mission. As the region’s longest continuously operating community theater, Barnstormers relies on such collaborations to continue offering quality productions and educational opportunities.
For attendees, Celebrate Art, Celebrate Life promises to be an inspiring night filled with creativity, camaraderie, and purpose. Whether you are a longtime supporter of the arts or simply curious to explore the talents flourishing in Southern Oregon, the event offers a unique window into the vibrant world of local artists.
