Grants Pass residents will have another opportunity this week to connect directly with local elected officials in an informal setting designed to encourage open dialogue and community engagement. The City of Grants Pass is hosting its monthly Council Community Connection on Friday, February 13, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Lonely Pine Coffee, located at 130 SE G Street.
The Council Community Connection series was created to provide a relaxed environment where residents can speak with City Council members outside of formal council meetings. Rather than addressing officials from a podium during scheduled public comment, attendees are invited to sit down, ask questions, share concerns, and discuss issues affecting the community in a more conversational atmosphere.
Several members of the Grants Pass City Council are expected to attend the February gathering. Topics may range from city services and infrastructure to economic development, public safety, housing, and other matters of local interest. Community members are also welcome to simply listen, learn more about current projects, and hear different perspectives from both councilors and fellow residents.
Lonely Pine Coffee, situated in the heart of downtown Grants Pass, provides a central and accessible location for the event. Residents can stop in for a beverage while participating in discussions about the direction and priorities of the city.
City officials encourage residents from all parts of the community to attend. Events like Council Community Connection are intended to strengthen communication between local government and the public, helping ensure that a variety of voices are heard as decisions are made that shape Grants Pass’s future.
