Downtown Grants Pass will soon be filled with the sound of clinking glasses and the lively spirit of beer enthusiasts as the 2025 Tap Walk returns on Saturday, October 11. Organized by the Grants Pass & Josephine County Chamber of Commerce, the annual walking beer tour has become a cornerstone community event, attracting both locals and visitors eager to experience a blend of craft brews, food, and local hospitality.
The Tap Walk is scheduled to run from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and is open exclusively to participants aged 21 and older. The Chamber describes the event as a way to showcase the vitality of downtown while supporting local businesses. The format allows attendees to explore the city at a leisurely pace, moving from one participating establishment to another, sampling offerings from breweries and food vendors while discovering restaurants and shops that help define the area’s commercial core.
This year, the event will include 25 different stops, with several new participants joining for the first time. Each stop will offer a sample pour of craft beer, creating what organizers describe as a “walking tour of flavors.” Beyond the tastings, many of the participating locations plan to provide food options or pairings designed to complement the featured brews.
The Tap Walk also provides attendees with keepsakes and amenities designed to enhance the experience. Each ticket purchase includes a commemorative pint glass provided by Nicebadge, an insulated reusable tote sponsored by People’s Bank, and an event map to guide participants along the route. Free trolley service, made possible by Growler Guys Tap House, will operate throughout the afternoon, ensuring that participants can move easily between locations.
Tickets are priced at $45 in advance and $50 on the day of the event, if any remain. They are available for purchase through the Chamber’s website or in person at its office on Northwest Vine Street. With growing popularity in recent years, advance ticket sales have become an important option for those who want to secure entry before the event reaches capacity.
The Chamber of Commerce emphasizes that the Tap Walk is more than just a beer tasting; it is also a driver for local commerce. Events of this kind are designed to encourage shopping, dining, and exploring downtown. By bringing together breweries, restaurants, and retailers, the Tap Walk provides exposure for businesses while creating a memorable experience for attendees.
To add to the festive atmosphere, the event will feature entertainment elements such as a photo booth sponsored by Weekend Beer Company. Organizers note that additional surprises are planned, continuing the tradition of making the Tap Walk both a social gathering and an opportunity to celebrate the unique culture of Grants Pass.
As the October date approaches, anticipation is building among craft beer lovers throughout the Rogue Valley. With its combination of sampling, strolling, and community engagement, the Tap Walk has developed into one of the region’s most anticipated annual gatherings. The 2025 edition is expected to draw a strong turnout, once again spotlighting the role of downtown as a hub for culture and commerce.
