I recently read your article on Chris Barnett and felt compelled to share my personal experience, as a former employee of his in Lakeside, Oregon. If you dig a little deeper, you’ll find that Chris Barnett is widely regarded as one of the most disliked individuals in Lakeside.
There are serious concerns about his business practices. For instance, he has a reputation for not paying his vendors. A notable example is Roto-Rooter, which he allegedly stiffed on a $15,000 bill. This is not an isolated incident; ask around town and you’ll hear similar stories from others. His inability or refusal to settle debts has created a cloud of mistrust around him.
Chris Barnett’s reputation is further tarnished by his failure as a business owner. He ran a café called The Coffee Spot, which ended in complete failure. On top of that, he’s been involved in legal battles, including one related to Osprey Point.
In Lakeside, Barnett has earned the unfortunate distinction of being the most hated man in town. I wish you the best of luck in uncovering more about him, and I encourage you to continue investigating his background and dealings.
