The City of Grants Pass is accepting applications from community members interested in serving on its newly established Small Business Task Force, an advisory group created to examine the needs of local businesses and help shape future economic support strategies throughout the community.
City officials are seeking one additional member to serve on the task force, with appointments expected to last for the duration of the committee’s work. The task force is anticipated to complete its responsibilities within approximately 12 months from the date members are appointed.
The Small Business Task Force has been organized to bring together local business owners and business advocates representing a broad range of industries. Its primary mission is to evaluate current business conditions within Grants Pass, identify challenges affecting the local business community, explore potential strategies to promote stability, and develop recommendations that could contribute to a long-term business support plan for the city.
To ensure a broad range of perspectives, the city is encouraging participation from business owners representing numerous sectors of the local economy. Eligible applicants may come from industries including retail, manufacturing, healthcare, tourism, technology, agriculture, finance, food and beverage, transportation, or other business fields. The city is also seeking applicants who can serve in a member-at-large capacity to provide additional community insight.
The creation of the task force reflects an effort to gather direct input from those who operate businesses in Grants Pass and better understand the opportunities and challenges facing employers, entrepreneurs, and commercial enterprises across the region. Recommendations developed during the committee’s work are expected to help guide future discussions surrounding business development, economic resilience, and local support initiatives.
Applications are available through the City Administration Office, located at 101 N.W. A Street in Grants Pass, and may also be completed electronically through the city’s online application portal at the City of Grants Pass website.
Completed applications must be received by 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 14, 2026. The Grants Pass City Council is scheduled to consider appointments to the Small Business Task Force during its regular meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2026.
