Grants Pass business owners are being invited to help shape future discussions surrounding the local business climate through a new citywide survey designed to identify the opportunities and challenges facing small businesses across the community.
The initiative follows the recent creation of the Grants Pass Small Business Task Force by the Grants Pass City Council. The task force was established to provide city leaders with a better understanding of the issues affecting local businesses and to help identify priorities that may influence future policy discussions and economic development efforts.
City officials have launched an online survey exclusively for business owners operating within the Grants Pass city limits. The questionnaire covers a broad range of topics intended to provide the task force with firsthand information about the experiences of businesses in the community. By gathering direct feedback from local owners, the city hopes to better understand the concerns, needs and priorities of businesses that contribute to Grants Pass’ economy.
The survey is intended to serve as a data collection tool, allowing the task force to evaluate common themes and determine which issues are having the greatest impact on the city’s business community. Information gathered through the survey will be reviewed as the task force develops recommendations and identifies areas that may warrant additional attention.
Participation is limited to businesses that operate within the City of Grants Pass. To ensure responses come from eligible businesses, participants are required to provide their Grants Pass Business Tax Certificate identification number before completing and submitting the survey.
Business owners who are unable to locate their Business Tax Certificate ID number may contact the City of Grants Pass for assistance. City staff are available to help verify the required information so eligible businesses can participate in the survey.
The city has established a submission deadline of 11:59 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 31, 2026. Responses received before that deadline will be included in the information compiled for the Small Business Task Force’s review.
The survey represents one of the task force’s first opportunities to gather direct input from the local business community since its formation. Officials anticipate that responses will provide a broader picture of the conditions businesses are experiencing while helping identify both shared concerns and unique challenges across different industries.
