The City of Grants Pass is currently developing its 2025-2029 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) 5-Year Consolidated Plan and the 2025-2026 Annual Action Plan. These plans will serve as a blueprint for allocating federal funds to address local needs and priorities, with a focus on improving the community, particularly for low- and moderate-income residents. The planning process follows federal regulations and the city’s Citizen Participation Plan, ensuring transparency and community involvement.
To identify the most pressing needs in the community, the city is conducting public outreach, including an online survey that is now available for residents to provide input on funding priorities for the upcoming year. The survey will remain open until March 17, 2025, and city officials strongly encourage participation to help shape funding decisions for essential programs and infrastructure projects. The survey can be accessed at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ZYGNR8Q.
A public hearing before the City Council is scheduled for April 16, 2025, where feedback collected from the survey will be reviewed. This meeting will provide an opportunity for residents to share their concerns and suggestions in person.
The draft versions of the 2025-2029 5-Year Consolidated Plan and the 2025-2026 Annual Action Plan will be available for public review from June 9 to July 14, 2025, on the city’s CDBG webpage. During this 30-day comment period, residents are encouraged to submit written feedback and suggestions to Anne Ingalls, the city’s CDBG program coordinator.
The final plans will be reviewed at the City Council meeting on August 6, 2025. Once adopted, these plans will guide how federal CDBG funds are utilized in Grants Pass over the next five years.
Residents are encouraged to participate in the survey and public hearings to help shape the future of Grants Pass. For more information, visit the city’s CDBG webpage or contact Anne Ingalls directly.
