I would like to address recent claims regarding alleged antisemitism and the Josephine County Republican Central Committee (JCRCC). These accusations are both misleading and inaccurate.
First, it is important to clarify that Mike Pelfrey is not an elected representative of the JCRCC, and his views are solely his own. The suggestion that Chair Holli Morton admires Pelfrey, as mentioned in the article, was taken out of context. Chair Morton respects his right to express his opinions, a fundamental right protected by the First Amendment, but this does not equate to agreement with or endorsement of his views.
Additionally, the JCRCC has no authority over individual social media posts made by private citizens. Any insinuation that the JCRCC condones antisemitism or hate speech is unequivocally false. As an organization, we strongly condemn antisemitism and any form of hate speech. We stand in solidarity with the Jewish community and affirm our commitment to fostering inclusivity and respect for all individuals.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to clarify these misrepresentations and set the record straight.
Sincerely,
Candy Kaiser
