Mt. Ashland Ski Patrol extends a massive thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the success of Bavarian Night on Saturday (2/17). The event proved to be a triumph for fundraising, as the Ski Patrol managed to raise approximately $18,000 through a raffle, coupled with an impressive ~$8,000 in ticket sales throughout the night. Cheers to a fantastic turnout and a job well done!
Starting the week on a positive note, Mt. Ashland woke up to a fresh 5″ of snow on the 24-hour stake. Today promises mostly sunny skies, transitioning to partly cloudy tonight, with a daytime high near 35 degrees and a low around 27 degrees. Winds are expected to hover around 10-14 mph, reaching gusts as high as 21 mph.
For those eager to hit the slopes during the evening, Twilight Skiing sessions continue this week, running from Thursday to Friday, 3-9 pm. This exciting opportunity extends until March 8th, providing enthusiasts with additional time to enjoy the mountain. Check the Operating Schedule for details.
Looking ahead to the weekend, the forecast predicts sunny weather throughout, with gentle breezes around 10 mph on Friday and Saturday. Ideal conditions for a weekend on the slopes!
Recent avalanche mitigation efforts paved the way for the opening of Wong’s, Chute 1, and Chute 2 of The Bowl by noon, with the entire Bowl accessible by 3 pm. Barring unforeseen changes, The Bowl is expected to remain open all week, with the possibility of more snowfall starting Sunday night. Skiers and snowboarders are urged to respect designated boundaries and closures for safety.
Excitement continues at the Rogue Terrain Parks, where West Dream’s newly added boardercross course is now open. Lower Juliet Terrain Park and Lower Left Tempest Terrain Park also welcome riders to shred boxes, rails, corrugated pipes, and more. A reminder to all park enthusiasts: PARK SMART!
