The People’s Access to Housing (PATH) coalition will hold its next general meeting on Tuesday, August 26, at the Grants Pass City Council Chambers. The meeting is scheduled from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., with the final half-hour dedicated to networking among members and participants.
The adjustment in meeting times comes in response to feedback from PATH members and community partners, who expressed a desire for more opportunities to connect outside of the formal agenda. Organizers hope the added time will foster stronger collaboration among groups and individuals working on housing and homelessness issues in Josephine County.
This month’s featured speaker will be Skylar Fate of AllCare Health, who will present information on Hope Home, a recently launched program that provides housing, treatment, and support services for pregnant women struggling with substance use disorder. The program is designed to address a critical gap in care by combining stable housing with recovery support, helping women maintain their health while preparing for the arrival of their children.
In addition to the presentation, PATH leaders will provide updates on the coalition’s ongoing activities, while community partners will share reports on their own work. Organizers emphasize that the meeting serves as both an information-sharing forum and a place to learn about new initiatives that address homelessness and related challenges in the region.
The event will also include a community service component. A collection box will be available for non-perishable food donations to benefit the Josephine County Food Bank. Contributions from attendees will go directly toward helping local families facing food insecurity.
PATH encourages residents to attend, whether they are already involved in coalition efforts or simply want to learn more about the resources available in the community. Family members, friends, and colleagues are welcome, with organizers stressing the importance of broad community involvement in tackling homelessness and supporting vulnerable populations.
The August 26 meeting continues PATH’s ongoing work to unite service providers, advocates, and community members around solutions for housing instability in Grants Pass and beyond.
