GRANTS PASS, OR — The People Assisting the Homeless (PATH) initiative will hold its next general meeting on Tuesday, May 27, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Grants Pass City Council Chambers, with new adjustments to its format aimed at fostering greater community connection and collaboration.
In response to feedback from members, community partners, and participants, the meeting structure has been revised to dedicate more time for networking. The updated schedule will now feature a formal meeting from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m., followed by a networking session from 4:30 to 5:00 p.m., allowing attendees to engage in more personal discussions and share ideas in a relaxed setting.
This month’s featured speakers are Colleen Padilla and Mariah Brennan from Hearts with a Mission, a local nonprofit known for its vital support services for at-risk youth and families. Recently, the organization has expanded its mission to also include seniors, broadening its impact across vulnerable populations in southern Oregon. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear firsthand about the organization’s evolving role and the critical support it provides in the region.
In addition to the guest presentation, PATH organizers will provide updates on ongoing initiatives and invite community partners to share highlights of their work in addressing homelessness and related challenges.
Adding a charitable component to each gathering, PATH announced a new monthly non-perishable food donation drive benefiting the Josephine County Food Bank. Attendees are encouraged to bring canned or packaged goods to the meeting, with donation boxes now available at each session. Contributions will support local families in need and reinforce the meeting’s purpose of collective impact.
PATH extends an open invitation to all residents, local professionals, advocates, and those simply curious to learn more about addressing homelessness in Josephine County. Whether you’re already involved or looking to get started, the organization encourages broad participation and values fresh perspectives.
