Project Youth+ invites the community to join in the 3rd Annual 5K Run & 1-Mile Fun Run, a fundraiser dedicated to supporting vital programs for local youth. The event promises fun, fitness, and the opportunity to contribute to a worthy cause, all taking place on Saturday, October 28, 2024, at Club Northwest, located at 2160 NW Vine Street in Grants Pass, OR.
Event Details
Thanks to the generous support of Title Sponsor AllCare Health, this year’s event is set to be the biggest yet. Participants can choose between the competitive 5K run or walk, starting at 9:00 a.m., and a 1-mile Fun Run/Walk at 10:00 a.m., where costumes are highly encouraged to add a festive touch. Both courses will start and finish at Club Northwest, and the 5K race will feature chip timing for accurate results.
Registration and Packet Pickup
Runners and walkers in the 5K event can pick up their race packets early at the Club Northwest Lobby on Friday, October 27, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Alternatively, packets will be available on the morning of the race, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:40 a.m. Registration for both the 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run includes a race shirt and giveaways, while supplies last.
Awards and Prizes
Prizes will be awarded to top finishers, with medals and rewards given to the first, second, and third place winners in both the adult and youth divisions of the 5K race. Young runners (ages 5-18) participating in the 1-Mile Fun Run will also have a chance to win medals and small prizes for first-place finishes in the boys’ and girls’ categories.
Supporting Local Youth
The proceeds from the event will directly benefit Project Youth+ programs, which provide essential support, mentorship, and resources for local youth. These initiatives aim to empower young people to overcome challenges and reach their full potential in education and career development.
