WHITE CITY, Ore. — Rogue Community College (RCC) is rolling out the welcome mat for local high school students with its Health Care Demo Days, a series of six interactive events aimed at sparking interest in health care professions. Hosted at RCC’s Table Rock Campus in White City, these immersive sessions provide students from roughly 20 high schools across the Rogue Valley a unique opportunity to dive into real-world health care scenarios while learning about RCC’s diverse health care programs.
The next session is slated for Wednesday, Dec. 4, with the series wrapping up on Monday, April 21. While the events are not open to the public, members of the media are welcome to attend by prior arrangement.
During each event, participants can roll up their sleeves and step into the shoes of health care professionals. Activities include:
- Creating dental molds in the dental lab.

“Health Care Demo Days provide an exciting opportunity for students to experience health care careers firsthand while discovering the educational pathways RCC offers,” said Rachel Ostroskie, RCC’s assistant director of high school partnerships. “Our goal is to inspire future health care professionals who will serve and strengthen the Rogue Valley community.”
A standout feature of the program is RCC’s collaboration with Mercy Flights, which contributes ambulances, staff, and even helicopters to create a dynamic and authentic learning experience. These partnerships underscore the vital role health care professionals play in the Rogue Valley, offering students an engaging preview of their potential futures.
