Ashland this Thursday morning, as the mountain revels in the aftermath of a delightful 9-inch snowfall within the last 24 hours. This latest snowfall not only promises exhilarating powder turns but also contributes to the robust and resilient snow base that forms the foundation of our exceptional winter playground.
Weather enthusiasts can anticipate the possibility of an additional 1 to 3 inches of snow today, accompanied by a refreshing breeze ranging from 20 to 24 mph, with gusts reaching as high as 37 mph. The day’s high is expected to hover near a comfortable 31 degrees.
For those who relish the magic of twilight skiing, the experience continues this week with sessions available on Thursday through Saturday from 3-9 pm. As we approach the final Saturday of Twilight skiing, we invite everyone to join us for a special occasion — the Mt. Ashland Ski Patrol Fundraiser, Bavarian Night, taking place on February 17th. Dive into the excitement as the live raffle, currently underway, serves as the Ski Patrol’s primary source of income, supporting the dedicated individuals who make our local mountain haven possible. Thursday and Friday night sessions are scheduled to continue until March 8th; check our Operating Schedule for details.
As we look ahead to the weekend, a moderate gale is expected on Friday and Saturday, accompanied by the possibility of snowfall from Saturday to Monday. Temperatures are forecasted to range from 30 to 36 degrees throughout the week, ensuring optimal conditions for winter enthusiasts.
Exciting news from The Bowl: Following meticulous avalanche mitigation efforts, Patrol has successfully opened all of The Bowl. Weather and conditions permitting, The Bowl is set to remain open throughout the week. We kindly ask all visitors to respect boundaries and closures for everyone’s safety.
Adrenaline-seekers can rejoice as West Dream’s newly added boardercross course is now OPEN! Witness the Southern Oregon Snowboard Team showcase their skills on this thrilling course this Sunday. Please note that West Dream will be closed on Saturday and Sunday due to the competition but will resume regular operations on Friday and Monday. The Lower Juliet Terrain Park is ready for action, featuring boxes, rails, corrugated pipes, and more. Lower Left Tempest is temporarily on hold due to features being buried in the recent storm but is expected to reopen tomorrow. A friendly reminder: Always shred responsibly and PARK SMART!
