Community leaders, nonprofit representatives, and local residents will gather later this month for the next meeting of the PATH coalition, an organization focused on addressing homelessness and strengthening community support networks in Josephine County. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 24, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Grants Pass City Council Chambers.
The event will begin with a general meeting from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m., followed by an informal networking period from 4:30 to 5:00 p.m. Organizers say the gathering provides an opportunity for community partners to share updates, collaborate on local initiatives, and discuss ongoing efforts aimed at reducing homelessness and supporting vulnerable residents.
PATH meetings regularly bring together service providers, volunteers, nonprofit organizations, and members of the public who are interested in learning more about local resources and how different groups are working together to address housing instability in the region. These meetings often highlight programs, partnerships, and new initiatives that aim to improve coordination among agencies serving individuals experiencing homelessness.
A featured presentation during the March meeting will be delivered by Brandi Fogle, Josephine County regional manager for Max’s Mission. Her presentation will focus on the organization’s work in Southern Oregon and the programs designed to support individuals facing homelessness and related challenges. Attendees will learn more about how the organization collaborates with community partners and works directly with individuals in need of services.
In addition to the featured presentation, representatives from several local organizations are expected to provide brief updates about their current projects and community programs. These updates are intended to help organizations stay informed about one another’s efforts while identifying opportunities for cooperation and shared support.
Community participation is encouraged, and organizers say the meeting is open to anyone interested in learning more about the ongoing work being done in Josephine County to address homelessness. Local residents, volunteers, and professionals working in social services are invited to attend and engage with the network of organizations that regularly participate in PATH meetings.
As part of the gathering, organizers will also collect donations of non-perishable food items to benefit the Josephine County Food Bank. A collection box will be available at the meeting, allowing attendees to contribute food items that will help support families and individuals experiencing food insecurity.
PATH organizers emphasize that collaboration among community partners remains an essential part of addressing homelessness and related social challenges in the region. By bringing organizations together to share information, resources, and ideas, the group hopes to strengthen local efforts and continue building a coordinated response to housing and support needs across Josephine County.
