In an ongoing effort to keep Grants Pass parks clean and safe, a group of concerned local residents has scheduled their next community cleanup event for Sunday, November 10, 2024. Volunteers are invited to meet at Ogle Park at 1 p.m. for a brief meeting to discuss the day’s activities before heading out to additional parks in the area.
Organizers kindly ask participants to arrive no earlier than 12:45 p.m. to ensure a smooth start. New volunteers will be welcomed with safety pins to help identify them within the group. The organizers will also provide gloves, bags, and grabbers, making it easy for everyone to contribute effectively.
Volunteer Del Aldridge, one of the key figures in this community-driven initiative, encourages other residents to join in and support the effort. This dedicated group is committed to reclaiming public spaces for safe and enjoyable use, tackling litter and improving the environment for people of all ages. “We are getting our parks back, for young and old kids to enjoy in safety,” a spokesperson shared, underscoring their commitment to creating family-friendly spaces throughout Grants Pass.
Events like these have been successful in fostering a sense of pride and responsibility within the community, helping to make local parks safer and cleaner. The group welcomes people of all ages, making this cleanup an ideal opportunity for families and individuals to pitch in and make a positive impact.
