(Grants Pass, OR) – The Board of Directors at the Grants Pass & Josephine County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Charles “Chuck” Rund as the Interim CEO. This decision comes as the Board undertakes a strategic and careful process to select the next President and CEO for the Chamber.
Chuck Rund brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having served as the President of Charlton Research Company, a prominent public policy and opinion research firm specializing in developing strategies for clients in business, politics, and the legal sector. The company conducted extensive national public opinion research for more than 250 corporations, including 24 listed in the top 100 of the Fortune 500.
Widely recognized as an expert in researching and analyzing specialized issues impacting the political community, Mr. Rund has played pivotal roles in four Presidential campaigns, twelve gubernatorial campaigns, and seventeen Senate races. His influence extends to campaigns for forty-eight elected Congress members, as well as various state, local, and initiative campaigns. With a remarkable 32-year stint as an election night analyst for CBS News, Mr. Rund remains attuned to trends in national and statewide politics.
In addition to his distinguished career, Mr. Rund has actively contributed to community service. He has served on several boards, including AllCare Health, the Grants Pass Family YMCA, the Grants Pass and Josephine County Chamber of Commerce, and the Rotary Club of Grants Pass Board. Furthermore, he has been involved in numerous community activities, reflecting his commitment to the well-being of the community.
Mr. Rund earned his B.A. from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota, and pursued post-graduate work in social ethics at the San Francisco Theological Seminary.
