The Grants Pass Police apprehended an individual for unlawfully entering a vehicle at an automotive sales establishment situated in the northern sector of the city in the early hours of the previous day. According to the Police Department, officers swiftly responded to a report of suspicious activity at Best Auto on NE Hillcrest Drive at approximately 1:40 a.m. on Tuesday.
The accused, identified as 45-year-old Floyd Terry Rose, was reported to have forcibly entered a Honda Element on the premises with the intent to commit a criminal act. The proprietor of the lot observed the incident through surveillance cameras and promptly contacted 9-1-1, triggering a prompt law enforcement response. Upon arrival, officers determined that Rose deliberately inflicted over $400 in damages to the Honda while attempting to abscond with vehicle parts valued at $500.
Initially uncooperative with law enforcement, Rose was met with appropriate challenges and subsequently taken into custody. Floyd Terry Rose has been incarcerated at the Josephine County Jail on charges of Unlawful Entry into a Motor Vehicle, 2nd-Degree Criminal Mischief, and Attempted 2nd-Degree Theft.
