The state of Oregon has introduced a new grocery Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) program aimed at assisting families with meal costs. This initiative, launched by the Oregon Department of Human Services, ensures that eligible children will receive $120 per child during the summer to help cover grocery expenses.
Families who are already part of the existing EBT system will automatically receive these benefits and do not need to reapply. However, those who are not currently enrolled in the EBT program are encouraged to visit [sebt.oregon.gov](https://sebt.oregon.gov) to check their eligibility and learn more about the application process.
The application portal is now open and can be accessed at [online.oresebt.com/ApplicationRegistration/Index](https://online.oresebt.com/ApplicationRegistration/Index).
For additional information, families can contact the Summer EBT Call Center at 1-833-673-7328, available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Alternatively, Amber Mersino, the Special Programs Coordinator for Three Rivers School District, is available for inquiries. She can be reached at 541-862-3111 ext. 5207 or via email at amber.mersino@threerivers.k12.or.us.
This program aims to alleviate the financial burden on families during the summer months, ensuring that children have access to nutritious meals even when school is out of session. Community members are encouraged to spread the word to ensure that all eligible families take advantage of this opportunity.
