The disappearance of 67-year-old Randall “Randy” Hecker has become one of the most significant criminal investigations in Josephine County this year. As of July 17, 2026, authorities have reported that a body has been recovered in a remote area of the Lower Grave Creek region northwest of Grants Pass. Josephine County Sheriff Dave Daniel said the body was found on Reuben Mountain Road. While investigators believe the body may be that of the missing Grants Pass fishing guide, authorities have not yet confirmed the identity, and formal identification is still pending.
